TUSK TV SPRING’22

April 29, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - May 2, 2022 @ 11:59 pm

Tusk Music Projects, producers of the renowned annual celebration of adventurous global music that is TUSK Festival, return with a new 4-day programme of free online music and more this May Day weekend, April 29-May 2.
Across 4 nights, TUSK TV Spring’22 will deliver a free-to-watch smorgasbord of global adventurous music featuring sets from their recent Newcastle live events and more. Expect one-off performances from London’s great R&B deconstructor KLEIN; sublime US minimalist LEA BERTUCCI; APARTMENT HOUSE performing music by JIM O’ROURKE for strings and oscillator; the pounding Togolese Dancehall of YAO BOBBY & SIMON GRAB; Moroccan maestro HASSAN WARGUI; the inflammatory rap of INFINITY KNIVES X BRIAN ENNALS; the transcendentally serene SUPRIYA NAGARAJAN & LUCY NOLAN; California’s uniquely deranged BREN’T LEWIIS ENSEMBLE and much more.
Tusk’s legendary film programming also returns for this Spring’22 programme too and features Anthology Of American Folk Music legend Harry Smith, Leo Gast’s phenomenal document of Salsa in New York in the sweaty 1970s, a newly sound-tracked Maya Deren piece and TUSK favourite Dai Coelacanth.
Full listings for TUSK TV Spring’22 will be posted next week, each night commencing at 7pm UK time. Once again the whole programme will be wrapped in the animated intros and segues of KAREN CONSTANCE with the inimitable voice of PETER CONHEIM (Negativland, Porest).
TUSK TV Spring’22 will be totally free to watch via www.tuskmusic.org, repeated in full 12 hours later to make it watchable regardless of timezone and then added to our online archive.
