DIVIDE & DISSOLVE

Can’t tell you how excited we are to finally bring the trans-continental monolith that is DIVIDE & DISSOLVE to Newcastle. Their album Gas Lit was one of the releases that kept use sane(-ish) through lockdown. We had that great interview with them and Joe Murray on TUSK TV. They’ve even been remixed by Moor Mother. We would have brought them earlier to Newcastle but plans changed when they got the tour slot with the great Low.
The duo of Takiaya Reed and Sylvie Nehill bring new life to the sludge of doom, eschewing cliche for grand panoramic vistas of awe, chances to soar above the clouds before descending gloriously back into that dense glacier of obliterating sound.
In support we have Newcastle’s great PENANCE STARE – at the time of writing, they’re just back from winning over countless new converts at the Supernormal festival as well as touring with Leeds band Thank and others. Another hidden Newcastle gem slowly finding disciples around the country, and not before time.
This may be the last TUSK event for a little while at least so we hope to see you there!
